Looking for more At Home Spa Recipes

Nothing is more satisfying than being able to make your own spa beauty products at home. There are thriving communities around the World Wide Web that encourage people to make their own beauty products using tried and tested natural ingredients such as honey, aloe vera, hazelnut, etc.

You probably found our page precisely for this reason. You are interested in creating your very own spa products at home. Now, you may be wondering. What is really our motivation for creating spa products instead of just buying them?

I don’t know about you, but my personal reason is quite simple: I believe that manufacturers of spa products and beauty products in general do not have the public’s safety as their number one priority.

There are countless reports and studies that show that the ingredients (primarily the preservatives) being added to commercial beauty products are not safe for the skin. And may cause severe, long-term problems.

Instead of exposing myself to such risks. I have decided to make my own spa recipe items, and I have never looked back. You will be surprised as to how effective natural, DIY recipes can be! We owe it all to Mother Nature and now you too can begin enjoying great spa products at home without worrying about hidden toxic ingredients. Here are some recipes to get you started:

Honey Skin Scrub

Who doesn’t adore a great scrub when they are at the spa? The Honey Skin Scrub is capable of exfoliating and hydrating the skin at the same time. If you want an all-natural scrub that doesn’t take forever to prepare, try this recipe.

For this recipe you will need one US cup of coarse salt or fine salt, half a cup of fresh honey, half a cup of extra virgin olive oil, and any fragrant base oil that you like. The scent of the Honey Skin Scrub is completely up to you.

You can also opt for the scentless route if you don’t care much for the scrub’s scent. To create the scrub, simply combine all of the ingredients in a glass bowl or beaker, and mix well until you have been able to work the honey and oil into the salt.

This will take some time and patience, as salt can sometimes be resistant to mixing. Once the honey and extra virgin olive oil has been worked into one cup of salt, the concoction is ready to be used. Feel free to apply generous amounts of the Honey Skin Scrub to your arms, chest, and even on your face (avoid the eyes of course). Gently scrub your skin and rinse with water.

Natural Citrus Moisturizer

For this recipe, simply melt one third cup of beeswax in a hot pan, and combine with your base oil of choice. Pour in one third cup of freshly squeezed lime juice when the beeswax has been melted. Pour the solution into a glass container, and let it cool for half an hour before using it.

DIY Spa Recipes for All Occations

younger looking

Taking care of one’s skin is of paramount importance, especially today when air toxin levels are high, and people’s skin is prematurely aging because of overexposure to pollution.

If you want to look absolutely gorgeous later in life, you have to start taking care of your skin now. In an ideal world, those beauty productscare products, like creams and moisturizers, would actually help you preserve the skin that you have now.

Unfortunately, it has been proven that some of the more common synthetic ingredients added to the most common beauty productsbuying scrubs, such as face masks, are actually toxic to our skin.

This means that you keep using commercial beauty productsallergic; your skin is actually going to age faster, because of the components being added to the natural ingredients. Today we are going to share with you some recipes that can easily be prepared at home and, trust us, you will love the results!

Do you love face masks? If you do, you are going to love our feature recipe “The Lovely Carrot Face Mask”. For this recipe you will need 1 large egg (whipped), 1 large carrot (softened and blended in a food processor to a chunky consistency, 4 tbsps. of fresh honey, half a cup of regular cooking cream, and 1 large avocado (blended to a fine consistency in a food processor).

To create the “Lovely Carrot Face Mask”, simply combine the carrot, egg, honey, cream, and avocado in a large non-reactive bowl, and mix together using a plastic or wooden spatula. Fold the ingredients over each other until they are well-combined.

Once the ingredients are mixed well, get a dollop and apply to the whole of your face. You may also apply the Love Carrot Face mask to your nape and neck if you wish. Even out the face mask, and let it do its magic for at least twenty minutes.

When the twenty minutes is up, simply rinse off the mask with cool water, and pat your face and neck dry with a soft towel. Do not rub your skin after rinsing it with water! Rubbing creates unnecessary friction on the surface of the skin, damaging it without you knowing it.

Now, if you are having trouble with fine lines around the eyes, you need some heavy back up from nature’s skin expert: aloe vera. Get half a cucumber (blend the cucumber first in a food processor first until you get a chunky consistency), and half a cup of pure aloe vera juice or pulpy gel.

Combine the two ingredients and apply a generous amount around your eyes. The consistency of aloe vera does not really change, even if you add cucumber to it, so expect this special aloe eye gel to be cool and slippery. Allow the natural eye gel to do its work for at least a quarter of an hour. Feel free to apply some on top of your eyes (just close your eyelids of course). Wash off the solution with lots of water and again, pat dry (don’t rub your skin!).

Spa products have proliferated so much on the world market that it’s impossible not to find some in your town or city.

However, the question still remains whether it’s actually practical to keep buying spa products, since more and more chemicals are being added to them every year. There is a high demand for these products, but they still need to preserved for long shelf life.

This means that even the manufacturers of “natural” spa products are adding stuff that isn’t necessarily natural (or even good for the skin). If the thought of these artificial additives horrifies you, then it’s time to try out natural spa recipes that you can easily make at home.

Of course, homemade spa products will have a shorter shelf life because they won’t contain potentially harmful preservatives. But no matter – you can always make more! That’s the great thing about homemade spa products; once you have the basic ingredients at home, you can continue producing just the right amount of moisturizers and toners for daily use.

Here are some natural spa recipes to get you started on your journey to using safe, homemade spa products that your skin will surely love.

Natural Lip Gloss

To make some natural lip gloss you will need some fresh beet juice (you can get some by running beets through a juicing machine), 2 ½ tbsps. of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsps. of castor oil, a quarter cup of natural beeswax, and any diluted fragrant oil that you would like to add.

To make the lip gloss, first place the beeswax in a pan and melt using low heat. Once the beeswax has been melted, turn off the heat and add the rest of the ingredients.

Mix using a spatula or any other non-reactive stirrer until a fine, equal consistency is achieved. Add as much beet juice as you want to get the desirable hue. Some people like their natural lip gloss really reddish; if you feel the same, then just add more beet juice to the mixture.

Natural Lip Moisturizer

Tired of lip moisturizers that cost too much? Now you can make your own without breaking the bank! For this recipe you will need 4 tbsps. of colorless beeswax, 4 tbsps. of fragrant oil, ½ tsp. of lime oil, and 1 tbsp. of fresh honey.

This recipe is very easy to complete – begin by combining the colorless beeswax and four tablespoons of fragrant oil in a pan. Turn up the heat so that the beeswax begins to melt. Stir both ingredients together until they are mixed well.

Turn off the heat, and add the lime oil and fresh honey to the pan. Mix all of the ingredients until a pasty consistency is achieved. Pour the contents of the pan to a clean glass container, and let the mixture cool down and set.

DIY Homemade Spa Treatments

younger looking

Are you tired of buying expensive spa products that only last a week with regular use? Are you suspicious of the ever-lengthening list of strange ingredients in spa product labels?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, then it’s time for you to make your own natural spa products at home. DIY spa treatments have become extremely popular in recent years because people have found it easy to make their own beauty products at home, using tried and tested ingredients that are great on the skin.

Here are some of our top picks that you will enjoy making and using at home:

Rejuvenating Coco Face Mask

Masks are a must if you want to keep your skin supplecare products and hydrated. Did you know that you can now make equally effective face masks at home with ingredients that are actually edible? Let us show you how to make your very own Rejuvenating Coco Face Mask.

For this recipe, you will need half a cup of natural cocoa powder, 4 tbsps. of ground oatmeal, half a cup of fresh honey, 4 tbsps. of cream, and 2 tbsps. of kaolin or white clay.

Combine all of the ingredients in a large, non-reactive bowl until a regular consistency and color emerges. Use your hands to mix together the powdery ingredients, and don’t stop mixing until the splotchy colors disappear.

You will know that your Rejuvenating Coco Face Mask is ready when you get a consistency similar to what is found in commercial face masks. Apply the resulting compound generously on your face, around your eyes, and on your forehead.

Leave on for twenty to thirty minutes before rinsing off completely. Rinse off the face mask with lukewarm water, and finish off your face cleanse with a splash of cool water. Feel free to use a hypoallergenic soap to reduce the cocoa smell if it doesn’t suit you.

An alternative recipe for people who are suffering from dry skin can also be used. You will only need one large egg, three tbsps. of coconut oil, and two tbsps. of honey.

Remove the egg yolk, and combine the rest of the ingredients in a non-reactive bowl. Mix until you get a good consistency, and apply to the face generously.

Remember to gently rub the compound inward (toward the nose) to preserve the integrity of the skin. Leave on for half an hour, and wash off with lots of water. Do not rub your skin with a face towel or any other cloth! This will only irritate your skin and make your skin look drier and even more irritated.

The best way to take care of your skin is by responding to its specific requirements. Oily skin needs to be cleansed more frequently, but not necessarily cleaned out of all its surface oil.

Oil or sebum is there for a reason: it protects the skin and makes your skin look supple. Removing all of the oil on the surface of your skin is not necessarily a good idea, as it leaves the skin dry and prone to bacterial infection.

Natural Spa Food Recipes

If you are interested in creating sumptuous and natural spa food items at home, you’ve come to the right place. Spa cuisine is considered special because it complements natural detox and cleansing. You can enjoy the same type of food at home by following the simple, yet sumptuous, recipes outlined in today’s article.

Kiwi Smoothie

Who doesn’t love smoothies? A smoothie is a great way to perk up your mornings and cap off the night a few hours before going to bed. As long as you stick to all-natural ingredients, you should be fine.

We recommend sticking to fresh honey for all future smoothies, so you will enjoy not only the sweetness of honey but also its many health benefits. One of the best, all-natural smoothie recipes we know of is the Kiwi Smoothie.

For this recipe, you will need a tray of regular ice cubes (crushed in an ice crusher or food processor), 3 tbsps. of fresh honey, half a cup of blueberries, half a cup of strawberries, and half a cup of freshly sliced kiwi fruit.

Simply combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, and blend on “high” setting for a minute and a half. When the consistency of the fruit smoothie becomes fine, and the color of the blended fruits have combined well, pour into a tall glass and enjoy.

Feel free to enjoy this delectable Kiwi Smoothie together with a large, low-sugar oatmeal cookie, as the two complement each other very nicely.

Cleansing Honey Tea

Tea has been used for thousands of years as a natural aid for detoxification. Alone, the tea is a powerful aid for cleaning out toxins in the body.

However, if you combine it with other equally healthy ingredients, you will get twice the benefits and twice the enjoyment when you consume the tea. This is what you will get when you prepare the Cleansing Honey Tea.

For this recipe you will need 1/3 cup of fresh honey, 2 black tea bags, ½ cup of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, 2 ½ cups of hot water, and ½ a stick of fresh cinnamon. To prepare the tea, pour the hot water into a porcelain/ceramic tea kettle.

Dip in the tea bags and half a stick of cinnamon. Let the two ingredients soak for about four minutes. Remove the tea bags and the cinnamon stick afterward. Add the fresh honey and grapefruit juice, and stir gently. Serve the tea hot and enjoy!

Sweet Tofu Delight

Tofu is a clean source of plant protein and it is also very versatile as an ingredient. The Sweet Tofu Delight is a simple enough recipe; you will only need some fresh tofu, honey, and light soy sauce to prepare it.

Use a small food brush to spread the honey and soy sauce over the tofu. Feel free to stir-fry or grill the tofu afterward. We recommend serving Sweet Tofu Delight with blanched greens and steamed rice. You may also drink Cleansing Honey Tea to complete your spa cuisine experience!

Homemade spa recipes

Let’s face it – we want our kids to be pampered all the time. Now you can do exactly that by making spa beauty products at home. The great thing about all-natural spa products is that they’re safe for the skin because you won’t be adding synthetic preservatives to your homemade spa products.

This is the big downside of using commercial beauty productsyounger looking – they are full of chemicals that we can’t even read properly. Do you really want to apply chemicals on your skin continually? We didn’t think so. If you are ready to create spa products with your kids, here are some of our top picks:

Healing Face Mask

Face masks are a prime pick for people who have irritated and dry skin – especially if the face mask contains potent ingredients such as aloe vera. The Healing Face Mask combines the power of French green clay, white clay, and aloe vera.

This is one face mask recipe that you will not regret trying! For this recipe, you will need four drops of lime oil, 2 tsps. of lemon juice, 2 tbsps. of French green clay, 2 tbsps. of freshly cut aloe vera pulp, and 1 tbsp. of white clay.

To make the face mask, first mix the French green clay and the white clay or kaolin in a non-reactive bowl. When the two have been mixed well, add the rest of the ingredients. Use your fingertips to combine the clays. When all of the ingredients have been integrated well into the clay, feel free to apply directly to the face.

Leave the Healing Face Mask on for half an hour (at the very least) before rinsing off. If you want to create a larger volume of Healing Face Mask for daily use, remember to place the finished product in a covered glass container, and refrigerate it. Refrigerated Healing Face Mask mixtures can be stored for a whole month.

Fruity Moisturizer & Scrub

Moisturizing your skin is just as important as cleansing it regularly with clean water and hypoallergenic soap. Our Fruity Moisturizer will get the job done in the most natural and fragrant way possible! For this recipe, you will need 1 ½ cups of freshly blended strawberries, 1/3 cup of fresh honey, 1/3 cup of coarse sea salt, 3 tbsps. of extra virgin olive oil, and 1/3 cup of cream. Simply combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, and use a spatula to mix the ingredients well.
